What are personal data?
Personal data means all information that contains content about you, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, VAT UID number, etc. (hereinafter: "Data").
Personal data is collected when you voluntarily provide it to us during a trade fair, a telephone call, in correspondence, when ordering goods, when opening a customer account or when registering for our website.
How do we use your personal data?
We process the data you provide when contacting us during a sales event or via our online shop, as well as data collected during ongoing business, to manage your personal customer contact and account, and thus for the following purposes and on the following legal basis: wholesale and retail jewelry, consent (Article 6 (1) GDPR), and fulfillment of a contract. Without your separate consent, we will use the data you provide exclusively to fulfill and process your order.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we may use your data for advertising purposes to the extent permitted by law. You can object to this by contacting our customer service (see contact details above). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter; there are no costs involved other than transmission costs according to the basic rates.
Use of cookies on our website
Our online shop uses cookies to secure visitors' sessions. These cookies store information, such as items in the shopping cart, so that they remain available to visitors even after a brief interruption to the shop. This information is stored for 24 minutes for visitors who are not logged in, after which the session expires.
Google Maps

To whom will your personal data be shared?
We are assisted in fulfilling your order by IT service providers, who therefore process your personal data for us to the extent necessary. Furthermore, in individual cases, your personal data may need to be disclosed to authorities, courts, or lawyers. Without your express consent, we will use the data you provide exclusively to fulfill and process your order.
How long will your data be stored?
We generally retain your data for the duration of the ongoing business relationship with you. Furthermore, we are subject to statutory retention periods, which require us to retain data relating to you and the customer/contractual relationship even beyond the contract's completion, as is the case, for example, due to retention periods under company law. Furthermore, we retain your data for as long as necessary to assert legal claims arising from the contractual relationship with you.
Furthermore, you can view all orders placed in your customer account in our online shop www.thecraftshop.at for an unlimited period of time, provided you have registered as a customer and received a personal access code. If you wish, your customer data, and thus this information, can be deleted. In this case, please contact Matthias Dorbath at webshop@thecraftshop.at. However, deletion may also be carried out by us without prior notice. You therefore have no right to unlimited access.
